About

Every twenty minutes we read the public feeds of the club, BBC Sport Wales, WalesOnline, Leader Live and Google News. We take each story's headline, its short summary and its link, and nothing else.

Our newsdesk software, which uses Anthropic's Claude, writes a short original summary from those facts in our own words and links to the outlet that reported it. It is told to use no facts beyond the source and our squad list. Stories about a named person's conduct, health or private life, and anything the software is unsure of, wait for a person to check them.

Transfer stories are rated from Tier 1 (confirmed by a club) to Tier 4 (speculation) by who reported them. We never rate a story as firmer than its source.

If we get something wrong, email dan@upthetown.uk. We fix it and add a line to the story saying what changed.

Our reader identifies itself as UpTheTownBot, reads only published RSS feeds and official APIs, and follows each site's robots.txt. Publishers who want it to stop can email us.
