The first derby was an FA Cup qualifier at Chester on 8 December 1888, which Wrexham won 3-2. Wrexham's biggest win came on 25 April 1953: 7-0 in the Third Division North. The last meeting was on 11 March 2018, a 2-0 Wrexham win in the National League; since then the two clubs have been divisions apart, so there is no derby on the fixture list. The record combines Chester City (1888 to 2009) and Chester FC, the club formed in 2010 after Chester City folded, who first met Wrexham in 2013.
