O'Hare keen for Wrexham win at Sheffield United

Callum O'Hare spent two years at Sheffield United before Wrexham signed him on deadline day, and tonight is his first chance to face the club he left. He says he is looking forward to it, though his focus is on the result rather than the reunion. He is still waiting for his first goal in a Wrexham shirt.

The Reds come into the game after losing 2-0 at Blackburn on Saturday. That defeat leaves them 17th of 24 in the Championship, with 14 points from 12 games: three wins, five draws and four defeats. O'Hare said the side need points, and that three is what they are after.

O'Hare's move did not go down well with Sheffield United supporters, who are expected to make their feelings known. Ben Whiteman went through something similar when he faced Preston North End on 17 October, a 4-1 Wrexham win. He was booed by the Preston supporters, and after scoring his first goal for the club he blew a kiss towards them.

Phil Parkinson has said Whiteman did not force his move from Preston, and that the midfielder took a fresh challenge once the clubs agreed a deal. Parkinson also said Whiteman handled a hard afternoon with professionalism and holds no ill feeling towards Preston.

Joe Worrall is expected to start a third game in a row, and he expects a lively atmosphere at Bramall Lane, which he described as a good ground to play at. Whether O'Hare's first goal for Wrexham comes against his old club is the question the evening leaves open.
